Read moreThe All African Postharvest Congress and Exhibition (AAPHCE) is a biennial event organized by the African Union Commission in collaboration with partners. This is in response to meeting the African Union Heads of State and Government commitment on ending hunger in Africa by reducing postharvest losses in Africa by 50% by 2025 as detailed in the 2014 Malabo Declaration. In the same context at the global level under the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal, SDG 12 on sustainable production and consumption, target 12.3 calls for halving per capita global food waste at the retail and consumer levels and reducing food losses along production and supply chains
(including postharvest losses) by 2030.
